Each semester these uniformed civilians perform a myriad of functions for the department, including, patrolling university parking lots, and assisting with traffic control functions at special events. PSO's also provide information and assistance to the members of the university community and it's guests. Public Safety Officers are also routinely assigned to patrol the Strozier Library at times of peak activity, assisting the staff with the enforcement of library policies and assisting library patrons.
